Musings on God

Isaiah 55:8-9 … New King James Version (NKJV) …8 “ For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.  9 “ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Who can know your thoughts oh God?  Certainly not I a creature of your design, made in your image, with your breath of life filling my lungs.  Who am I but a vapor that appears on the earth for a short while and then is gone, either to heaven or hell.

James 4:14 … whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

Humans look at themselves and say to themselves in pride, we’re not so bad look at all the great things we’ve done, but God looks down from the heavenly realms and says Repent and Turn from Your Wicked Ways!!!

2 Peter 3:9 … The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Ezekiel 33:11 … Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord GOD, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’

Who is greater than you oh God, Creator of Heaven and Earth?  Who sees the beginning from the end?  Who plots the design of the universe and sets the stars in their place and the planets on their orbits, it is you oh Great and Merciful God!!!  You are worthy of glory, honor and praise forever and ever!!!

Amos 5:8 … He made the Pleiades and Orion; He turns the shadow of death into morning And makes the day dark as night; He calls for the waters of the sea And pours them out on the face of the earth; The LORD is His name.
